 LIVING LOCAL

San Pedro Café | Hudson, Wisconsin

One of our favorite parts of being Realtors is getting to share local places we love.

This one is especially fun for us because before Kyle got into real estate, he actually bartended at San Pedro Café!  It’s a place we go to regularly with the kids for family lunches on the patio, and a top date night spot when we can sneak some time away.

Whether you’re headed there for brunch, date night, happy hour on the patio, or dinner with friends, it’s easy to see why it’s been a Hudson favorite for so many years. Great food, a fun atmosphere, and one of those places that just feels like Hudson.

We always tell our clients that buying a home is about more than just the house... it’s about finding a community you’ll love. Local businesses like San PedroCafé are a big part of what makes this area so special.

What’s your favorite thing to order? We’d love to hear!

Summer is one of the busiest seasons in real estate, and for good reason. Longer days, warmer weather, and school breaks make it easier for families to move and settle into a new home before fall arrives. Whether you’re considering buying your dream home or preparing to list your current property, here are five reasons summer can be an excellent time to make a move. 1. More Homes Are Available Inventory typically increases during the summer months, giving buyers more options to choose from. Whether you’re searching for a family-friendly neighborhood, acreage, a waterfront property, or a new construction home, summer often provides the widest selection of homes available throughout the year. 2. Homes Show Their Best Curb appeal matters. Green lawns, blooming flowers, sunny skies, and outdoor living spaces help homes make a great first impression. Buyers can better visualize themselves enjoying a backyard barbecue, relaxing on a patio, or spending time with family outdoors. For sellers, this means your home has the opportunity to shine. 3. Families Can Move Before School Starts For many families, summer offers the flexibility to relocate without disrupting the school year. Children can transition to a new school more smoothly, and parents can focus on getting settled before fall activities begin. This creates a larger pool of motivated buyers actively searching for homes. 4. Longer Days Mean More Showings With daylight extending well into the evening, buyers have more opportunities to tour homes after work or weekend activities. Increased showing availability often leads to more traffic and potentially stronger offers for sellers. 5. Market Activity Creates Momentum Summer tends to bring motivated buyers and sellers into the market. While every local market is unique, increased activity often leads to quicker decisions and successful transactions when homes are priced and marketed correctly. Thinking About Making a Move? Whether you’re buying your first home, upgrading for more space, downsizing, or relocating, having the right real estate team can make all the difference. At Hughes Realty, we’re proud to help clients throughout Western Wisconsin, Eastern Minnesota, and Central Texas navigate the buying and selling process with confidence. If you’re curious about your home’s value or wondering whether now is the right time to move, we’d love to help. Experience the Difference.
